ABOUT US
Benson and Chris founded IBeam in the fall of 2005. The idea was to create a company in which they knew their clients and businesses well enough to truly help leverage technology to benefit their client's businesses. The folks at IBeam want to know your business, your story, your quirks and develop the sort of business relationship in which they don't have to relearn these every time you need their support.

Benson Hodgson, Principal Partner and Co-Founder
Benson Hodgson, a proud native of Colorado and longtime Vermont resident since 1988, has been immersed in technology since his early days working with computers in the U.S. Navy back in 1984. Over the years, he’s built a deep and varied skill set across industries as diverse as digital graphics, construction, lighting design, retail, finance, HR, payroll, manufacturing, and distribution. He even spent five years managing the operations of a local digital graphics service bureau, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges businesses face. Benson went on to serve as Vice President of IT for Bruegger’s Enterprises, a Burlington, VT-based restaurant chain with nearly 400 locations across the country. There, he built the company’s IT department from scratch, establishing a help desk with remote support that kept everything running smoothly. During his nearly nine years at Bruegger’s, Benson implemented a powerful Oracle ERP system to manage accounting, manufacturing, distribution, and inventory processes—and rolled out point-of-sale (POS) systems nationwide. Benson’s real strength lies in his ability to bridge technology and business seamlessly. His deep understanding of business processes, project management, and enterprise software is paired with hands-on experience in networking and infrastructure. But what truly sets him apart is his focus on relationships—building trust and offering dependable support that businesses can rely on to grow and succeed. |
